Obituary – Rev. [sic, actually Bro] Andrew Thomas Hewitt, C.F.C. of New Rochelle, died on May 22, 2002 at St. Joseph's Care Center in New Rochelle. He was 60. Brother Hewitt entered the Congregation of Christian Brothers on September 1, 1957. He served at Bishop Kearney HS in Rochester, NY, All Hollows HS in Bronx, NY, was Principal of Essex Catholic HS in East Orange, NJ, he also served in Iona Grammar School in New Rochelle, NY and the Santa Maria Community in West Park, NY, he was a therapist at Coping West in Newburgh, NY and was Superior in Lost Hermanos Community in Bonita Springs, FL. His sister Helen Hendrick and his brother James Hewitt survive him. His parents James and Helen Bischak Hewitt predeceased him. Friends may call on Thursday from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at St. Joseph's Care Center, 30 Montgomery Circle, New Rochelle, NY 10804. Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday 9AM at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle. Interment Christian Brothers Cemetery, West Park, NY.
