Summer Saturdays are 50-minute recitals at 5 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral. This week: Dina Martire, mezzo soprano, and Michael Picton at the piano. Next week: Helene Levesque and Kimberly Reine on flutes and Kola Owolabi at the harpsichord. Offering. The cathedral is at 635 Ste. Catherine St.

Khoi-Khoi (Rhythme du Monde) is the title Zerf Productions has given to a benefit concert with soloists of various backgrounds as well as the Female Pan Ensemble, the Montreal Korean Presbyterian Choir, the Montreal Intercultural Choir and Ted Phillips and his band. Proceeds will be shared between an institute for the arts in South Africa and work in Montreal. The concert begins at 8 p.m. in St. Augustine's Church, 5565 Cote St. Antoine Rd. Donations of cash and non-perishable food.

The Present Tense Cafe will feature Scott Hargreaves with guitar and vocal presentations of light, contemporary unplugged rock from 8 p.m. at Rockfield Christian Pentecostal Church, 415 St. Jacques St. in Ville St. Pierre. Free entrance and parking. Call 366-4525.

Tomorrow

Devils and demons in world religions are depicted in an exhibition opening tomorrow and continuing to Jan. 31 at the Musee des Religions, 900 Louis Frechette Blvd. in Nicolet. Corpus Christi will be marked at St. Joseph's Oratory. Among other events, there will be a mass at 12:30 p.m. with the Joliette choir Les Semeurs de Joie. There will be a ceremony at 2 p.m. at the monument to St. Joseph at the entrance to the grounds, marking the 75th anniversary of its dedication, followed by a mass in the Crypt Church to prepare for the Jubilee year in 2000. A mass in the Crypt Church at 5 p.m. will feature the choir of Blessed Trinity Church, Toronto.

Choral evensong at St. Matthias Church, Westmount, will feature the choir of men and boys interpreting works by Gerald Finzi and George Dyson. The church is at the corner of Cote St. Antoine Rd. and Metcalfe Ave.

Pastor John Shiver of Florida will lead "spiritual-renewal services" tomorrow through Friday at Ascension Christian Fellowship, Pierrefonds. Services are at 6 p.m. tomorrow and 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. daily weekdays. The church is at 12330 Pierrefonds Blvd., near the intersection of Westpark Blvd.

Monday

Christian Meditation. A 20-minute teaching on Christian contemplative prayer is followed by 20 minutes of meditation and an opportunity for questions and discussion at 7:45 p.m. Monday (for beginners) and Tuesday (continuing group). A Salute to Israel in Song will be presented at 7:30 p.m. by leading cantors from Toronto, the Shaar Hashomayim Choir Ensemble and guest artist Naftali Hershtik. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue, at 120 Cote St. Antoine Rd. Tickets range from $ 15 to $ 75. For information call 486-1611 (please don't call on Saturday).

Tuesday

Bishop Paul of Veschorod, Abbott of the Monastery of the Caves in Kyiv, Ukraine, will serve Vespers at 6 p.m. at The Sign of the Theotokos Church, 330 Clarke Ave., Westmount. Bishop Seraphim of Ottawa will be present. Bishop Paul is on a 25-day tour of Canada.

A summer recital at 12:30 p.m. at St. James United Church, 463 Ste. Catherine St. W., will feature organist Lenore Alford. Admission is free.

Getting to know your shadow will be the theme of Jean Monbourquette, an Oblate father teaching at St. Paul's University in Ottawa, in a French-language talk in Auditorium 203 of that university, 223 Main St. in Ottawa, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Wednesday

Soul travel - the expansion of awareness - will be discussed in a free introductory talk presented by Eckankar at 8 p.m. at its Montreal West Centre, 5830 Monkland Ave., Suite 5. For information: 488-6145.

Thursday

Rev. Anthony J. D'Souza of India, carrying on the work of the late Anthony De Mello, also a Jesuit from India, will be in the Montreal area. There will be an evening program at St. Luke's Parish in Dollard des Ormeaux at 7 p.m. Thursday and June 28, 29 and 30 and a week-long program starting Friday at the Manoir d'Youville in Chateauguay. A 12-step-spirituality weekend retreat led by Rev. Roy Drake starts 7:30 p.m. at Unitas 1475 Pine Ave. W. The retreat is open to members of Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-step groups, therapists and clergy dealing with similar issues and anyone else. Anonymity will be required.
