Josh and Anna Duggar Reach 10 Year Anniversary after Molestation and Cheating Scandal

Former 19 Kids & Counting stars Josh and Anna Duggar recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, and the family celebrated the occasion on Facebook with a thoughtful message. Fans watched the couple get married in 2008, and since then they have welcomed five children.

“Happy anniversary Josh and Anna! Today we are thankful to see you celebrating 10 years of marriage! We are so thankful for God’s love, kindness, and redemptive restoration. We love you both so much and of course adore those sweet little ones! Here’s to many more beautiful years for you two!” the family wrote on their official Facebook page, along with posting sweet pics of the couple.

Josh — who is the oldest child in the Duggar family — was the first one in the family to court and marry. And, he gave fans their first glimpse into dating Duggar style. His proposal was in front of her parents and incredibly awkward, and after Anna said yes, they celebrated with a side hug.

But, they have come a long way in ten years. And despite his 2015 molestation and cheating scandals, the couple appears to be doing well. Most fans shared kind wishes with the couple to celebrate the milestone, but there were some who weren’t happy to see that Josh and Anna are still together.

One person commented that they loved Anna, but Josh’s sins should make her run the other way. But another defended Anna’s decision to stay and wrote that people shouldn’t want families to break up and for kids to bounce between homes.

In case you forgot, Josh found himself in the middle of scandal three years ago when it was revealed that he had molested five young girls when he was a teenager, including four of his sisters. He was also caught cheating on Anna when it was discovered that he had an account on the infidelity-promoting website Ashley Madison.

But after some church-based rehab for sex addiction, it looks like Josh worked things out with Anna, and they even welcomed their fifth child last year.

According to People Magazine, Anna has called the first ten years with her husband a “wonderful adventure,” and has also publicly thanked God for his redeeming grace and blessings — especially their five children.

After a two-year hiatus, Anna returned to social media earlier this year and has been posting multiple pics of her kids. Every once in a while, she also includes some photos of Josh. However, she still faces backlash from some fans.

Josh Duggar’s scandal led to TLC canceling 19 Kids & Counting, but then his sisters got their own spinoff, Counting On. However, neither Josh or Anna Duggar (or their kids) have made an appearance on the show.
