Former ADC Chaplain charged with sexual assault

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The former chaplain for the Arkansas Department of Correction has been charged with sexual assault. On Thursday, the Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney announced that 67-year-old Kenneth L. Dewitt was charged with 50 counts of third degree sexual assault. Dewitt was a chaplain at the ADC McPherson women's unit in Newport when it is alleged he had sexual contact with three inmates from January 2013 through September 2014 when he left the prison.
