Archdiocese claims process enters next step

A key deadline has come and gone for bankruptcy court claims against the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.Clergy sex abuse victims and other interested parties had until Monday to file claims. More than 300 people have filed claims in the bankruptcy. Parishes, schools and other entities have also filed claims.

Now, the process of evaluating those claims begins.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Chris Soper. The University of Minnesota Law School professor has been involved in several Catholic Church bankruptcies.
