Police have confirmed they expect to hear from more victims of perverted headteacher Anne Lakey.
And it has been revealed that the disgraced teacher - jailed for sex offences against young pupils - worked in Huddersfield during the 1980s.
She was a teacher at the then All Saints Catholic High School at Bradley Bar.
It was one of her first teaching posts after qualifying at Sheffield University.
Now her career is in ruins after she was jailed for eight years for having sex with two boys.
Police have also revealed they are expecting other victims to come forward from Lakey’s past.
Det Insp Aelf Sampson, of Durham Police, said: “Throughout the investigation we have been aware that there may be other people involved in this inquiry who may come forward as victims, and we would like them to make the approach to us.”
Disgraced Lakey, 55, from Stanley, County Durham, had won national acclaim for improving schools but her successful career hid a sordid past.
She took the virginity of two boys aged 13-14 and another aged 15 when she was in her late 20s, working as a history and RE teacher in Sunderland.
Judge Howard Crowson jailed her for eight years for the gross breach of trust after she was convicted at Teesside Crown Court of 13 counts of indecent assault.
She mouthed “I love you” to her father, husband David and daughter who were in the public gallery as she was led away.
One of the victims branded her in his statement as a “dirty pervert”, adding: “As a kid I thought it was great what was happening, but now I see it for what it was - wrong.”
The other victim said: “I realise I was a victim of sexual exploitation and I feel a sense of shame that I allowed myself to be in that position.”

Speaking about the two victims, Det Insp Sampson she said: “At the time they may have thought it was fine but over the years they have come to realise how very, very wrong it actually is and it’s been very tough for them come forward and brave of them to give evidence.
“They’ve seen her have a successful glittering career, they’ve seen her be praised by government around her position which was described as inspirational, and I think that did make it harder for them to come forward.”
Lakey’s first teaching post was in Mansfield and she then spent a couple of years at All Saints, firstly as Miss Westwater and then as Mrs Toland after her marriage in 1987.
At the time of the allegations, she taught at Sandhill View School, Sunderland. She went on to teach at Farringdon, also Sunderland, Burnside in Wallsend, North Tyneside, before moving to Deerness Valley School.
Det Insp Sampson said: “Durham Constabulary will continue to support these victims with our partner agencies, as we do for all victims of recent or non- recent sexual abuse.
‘The guilty verdict supports this approach from within the wider criminal justice system and I urge other victims of sexual abuse to report their crimes to the police so the appropriate action can be taken and support offered.’
