Grand Jury Indicts Former Youth Pastor, Trial Date Set

The child sex abuse case against a former Charlottesville youth pastor is moving forward.

A grand jury indicted 34-year-old Jacob Daniel Kepple of Scottsville Monday.

He is charged with indecent liberties with a child.

Kepple worked as a youth pastor at First Baptist Church on Park Street.

Police say the victim was under his care at the time of the alleged assault between 2009 and 2011.

The teenage girl is now an adult. His two-day jury trial will start January 28, 2016.
