"Pastor" Stripped, Beaten to Pulp for Impregnating Ss1 Student

A 'pastor' escaped death by the whiskers after a mob of teachers beat him to inches of his life for impregnating a Senior Secondary 1 student of the Metropolitan Girls Secondary School, Ogui New Layout, Enugu.

Student Pulse gathered that the man, who claimed to be a pastor, was handed over to officials of National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), but not before they had beaten him severely.

Reports say the man is an Enugu-based contractor.

According to Vanguard the girl had suddenly slumped during the school's morning assembly, bleeding profusely from her private part.

On interrogation, she revealed that she was pregnant and named the pastor as the one responsible.

Her teachers then lured the randy contractor to the school.

When he arrived, they pounced on him.

The state Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche Okolo, confirmed the incident.

“A man was apprehended. The man defiled a girl and she got pregnant," he said.

"The school made a report to NAPTIP and the man came to the school to take the girl and he was arrested."

Okolo said the suspect would pay for his crimes for his crimes.

"The good thing is that he has been apprehended.

"He should go and face the law.”

Cases of sexual abuse of secondary school student have increased in recent time.

Only last week, Adamawa Police arrested Alhassan Adamu, a teacher at Tappare-Ganye Community Islamic Centre, Adamawa, for sexually assaulting several students the school.

He is also suspected of infecting about 13 of his pupils with HIV/AIDS.
