(VINCENNES) - A probable cause affidavit details allegations against a former Vincennes Youth Pastor accused of engaging sexual acts with a minor.

34-year-old Derrick "Duke" Hampsch was arrested in September and faces one formal charge of sexual misconduct with a minor.

The probable cause listed three incidents in which the victim described taking part in sexual acts with Hampsch.

WTHI reports that Hampsch was arrested September 19, after police received a report from a victim's family member stating that Hampsch engaged in sex acts with the victim. The alleged incidents took place in the fall of 2009 and again in April of 2010. The victim, in the court document, told police the first sexual encounter happened prior to the victim's 14th birthday.

In the 2009 incident, police state: "Duke grouped [the victim] in a sexual manner". It was also stated the alleged incident took place inside a closet in the First Baptist Church, located in Vincennes.

Duke Hampsch, at the time, was working as a Youth Pastor the church. The day of his arrest, News 10 reached out to the church by phone, and Hampsch's name was still listed in the phone directory as the Youth Program Administrator. The church also declined to comment at the time of Hampsch's arrest.

In April of 2010, the document states Duke fondled the victim, and had the victim fondle him. This incident, the document states, happened at a First Baptist Church event in Anderson, Indiana. The victim told police, the church group stayed overnight at the Madison Park Church of God.

The third incident, the document states, happened at First Baptist Church in Vincennes. The victim told police while attending a church event, "[victim] accompanied Duke in his office where he closed and locked the door," the document reads. Hampsch, according to police, had the victim fondle him.

"Anytime you have anything related to a church," said Sievers, "Somebody's in a position of trust, it's a difficult case for everybody in that community and I think there's a lot of that going on in this case."

When church leaders first learned of the incidents, the document states, Hampsch was immediately fired from his position at Vincennes First Baptist Church. According to court documents, a senior pastor with the church asked Hampsch if he engaged in sex acts with the minor, to which Hampsch answered: "yes." Church leaders then asked Hampsch if he had contact with anyone else, to which Hampsch said there was not, a court document stated.
