A case against former Catholic priest Peter John Ryan came up again for an administrative mention in Bathurst Local Court, New South Wales, on 12 May 2014. Ryan, 71, is charged with ten counts of aggravated indecent assault of a male student between 1974 and 1977, when Ryan was a Catholic priest. The alleged victim was a student at St Stanislaus College boys' school in Bathurst.

This court procedure was brief, and Ryan was not required to attend.

At an earlier mention of the case, in Sydney's Burwood Local Court on 18 March 2014, documents were tendered alleging that Ryan performed a series of sex acts on and in front of a student at St Stanislaus College.

Ryan has been granted bail under strict conditions, including a ban on approaching or contacting the alleged victim and any prosecution witnesses.

The case is listed for a further administrative mention soon. After that, the case would be scheduled for any subsequent steps in the prosecution process..
