The reports began to surface after SNAP prodded the church authorities to seek out others hurt by a fifth Marianist, Brother Bernard Hartman, who faces criminal abuse charges and also taught in our town. . .The St. Louis Occasional Barbecue Society (aka S.L.O.B.S.) will host seven events kicking off Memorial Day at Iron Barley on the south side. Proceeds for the live music, beer, wine and spirits from the teams will go to Lift for Life Gym and a charity selected by each venue: Doc’s Harley Davidson; Keeton’s Double Play; Kilderkin’s Pub; Dylan’s Sports Bar; PM BBQ; Highway 61 Roadhouse. . .Only 70 jobs short of fulfilling Mayor Francis Slay’s Sustainability Action Goal of providing 500 youth summer jobs. . .St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar has upped a bevy of gendarmes including Lt. Mark Cox and Lt. Norman Mann to the rank of captain. . .With Mother’s Day coming up, the Gov.Brand Index has turned to a study on brands moms most like right now: Dove; Johnson & Johnson; M&Ms; Nike; Amazon; Google; Craftsman; Black & Decker; Cheerios and Samsung.
