Corvallis Church Associate Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A priest with the St. Anne Orthodox Church in Corvallis was arrested Thursday on child pornography charges.

Stanley Brittain, known to his parishioners as Father Isodore, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. after Albany police detectives, with help from the Oregon Department of Justice, executed a search warrant at his Albany residence on the 2400 block of Eighth Avenue Southeast.

Brittain, 39, was booked in the Linn County Jail on 25 counts each of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse and second-degree encouraging child sex abuse.

The investigation began after the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force tipped off the Albany Police Department.

Brittain's association with the St. Anne Orthodox Church, 6000 N.E. Elliott Circle, ended last week, according to Albany Police Department's press release.
