The now 18-year-old child sex abuse victim of Satmar community big wig Nechemya Weberman was harassed in her family’s synagogue on Rosh Hashana and was forced to leave.

The now 18-year-old child sex abuse victim of Satmar community big wig Nechemya Weberman was harassed in her family’s synagogue on Rosh Hashana, the New York Post reported.

“Moser, out of the shul!” a hasid screamed when he saw her come into the Kapish Synagogue in Williamsburg to hear the shofar be blown on Thursday, the first day of Rosh Hashana.

Prayers were reportedly stopped and the shofar was not blown until the victim left.

The victim and her family have faced nearly constant harassment and shunning since she went to police with her complaints against Weberman more than one year ago.

Her now-husband’s kosher certification was stripped by a Satmar-controlled kosher supervision agency when he refused to coerce the victim to drop the charges. The restaurant closed as a result.

Three Satmar men were arrested in that incident, but the Brooklyn D.A. Charles J. Hynes gave them a no-prison plea deal.

Another Satmar man tried to coerce the victim and her now-husband to leave the country and not testify against Weberman. He used a combination of threats and the offer of a $500,000 bribe to try to achieve that goal.

However, the victim refused the money and testified anyway.

The man who offered that bribe, Abraham Rubin, pleaded guilty two weeks ago. But the Brooklyn D.A. only asked the judge for a 6-month jail sentence.

The judge, understanding that to mean the D.A. really didn’t want Rubin imprisoned at all, said he will probably sentence Rubin next month – to a no-jail sentence.

Weberman is serving a 50-year prison sentence for sexually abusing the victim from the time she was 12-years-old until she was almost 17, largely because the victim – then 17-years-old – did not falter under days of cross examination by Weberman’s attorney.

The Kiryas Joel Satmar Rebbe Aharon Teitelbaum compared the victim to a prostitute and endorsed his community’s shunning and harassment of her and her family.

In response, Hynes said that harassment and shunning was worse than the “Mafia,” and he said he would not deal with Teitelbaum because of it.

But only months later, Hynes was begging Teitelbaum’s inner circle for an audience in order to get his endorsement – and approximately 10,000 bloc votes Teitelbaum controls. In that process, Hynes repeatedly apologized for his Mafia remark, calling it “inappropriate.” But Hynes did not at the same time condemn the harassment and shunning of Weberman’s victim or of other child victims of other Satmar pedophiles, sending a clear message that votes are more important than children.
