Diocese Says No Child Porn Found on Church's Computers

The Kansas City Catholic diocese said that Independence police found no child pornography on computers seized from St. Ann Catholic Church following an investigation.

Police searched the parish office and rectory on March 26. Authorities said that child pornography was downloaded in early February by someone using an IP address assigned to the parish.

The diocese said the parish had been using unsecure WiFi. Church officials said all parishes, schools and diocesan facilities were directed to encrypt wireless routers.
