Serb Church Retires Bosnia Bishop Amid Sex Scandal

The Serb Orthodox Church has accepted the resignation of its bishop in Bosnia after a video posted on the Internet appeared to show him engaged in sexual activity with a young man.

Vasilije Kacavenda submitted his resignation for what he said were health reasons last year but was asked by the Church to keep the post until May.

The statement offered no explanation for why the resignation was accepted Monday. But it coincided with the weekend posting on YouTube of an apparently secretly shot video showing someone who looks like Kacavenda kissing and apparently being fondled by a man.
