The Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh is alerting parishioners that a priest accused of molesting a New Hampshire teen in the 1980s once served in western Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported earlier this month that the Rev. Michael Ledoux resigned as dean of secular Widener University in July after school officials learned he was accused of abusing the boy decades earlier. Ledoux has denied wrongdoing and was never criminally charged by New Hampshire authorities, though his Franciscan order settled a related lawsuit in 2002 and banned him from public ministry.

Pittsburgh diocesan officials only recently learned of the incident and are advising parishioners because Ledoux pastored St. Pamphilus in Pittsburgh from 1993 to 1995 and was headmaster at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport from 1995 to 2000.

The Pittsburgh diocese hasn't received complaints about the 55-year-old priest.
