As the world still mourns deeply for the innocent victims of the Newtown, Connecticut grade school massacre, and as President Obama tried sadly on Sunday to console those directly affected, promising to act decisively to protect children better, President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Jack Lew, later on Sunday reportedly strongly condemned as well, as President Obama did in August, sexual violence against children in organizational settings.
As countless people thankfully are now urging President Obama to act to curtail gun violence especially involving children, please help to urge President Obama also to act decisively now as well to curtail the widespread sexual violence against children in organizational settings.
Please take a moment and click on and sign the White House petition to curtail organizational sexual violence against children accessible at:

Please also ask others, including by social media such as Facebook and Twitter, to help protect children from violence by following your example in signing the petition. Anyone 13 years or older can sign the petition.
On Sunday, while President Obama was properly and sadly in Newtown, Jack Lew, his Chief of Staff, was nearby in New York City, where he targeted the neglected epidemic of sexual violence of children in religious schools and other organizational settings.
Chief of Staff Lew reportedly stated, in pertinent part, apparently reflecting the President’s position, that, “Across the country in recent years, we have seen too much evidence of inappropriate behavior at too many instititutions responsible for nurturing our children … “, adding, ” We can and must take a stand against it, promote awareness, set up preventative measures and openly address concerns as they arise … ” .
Chief of Staff Lew was just reinforcing the thrust of the earlier August statements of President Obama who stated, in pertinent part, after endorsing the penalties on Penn State for its failure to curtail Jerry Sandusky’s sexual violence against children, that, ” … {W}e just have bigger priorities {than sports} here and … we’re always looking after our kids and we have an affirmative responsibility to make sure that we are preventing predators from taking advantage of them … ” .
Help children and President Obama’s efforts to protect them by clicking on and signing the above petition now.
