Springfield Priest Arrested on Sexual Battery Charges

Fairfax County Police have arrested a priest from the Springfield area on a charge of sexual battery. Police said Father Luis Fernando Franco Henao, 40, was charged in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred on February 2, 2012. The victim reported on November 30, 2012 that he was sexually assaulted at Saint Bernadette Parish at 7600 Old Keene Mill Road while seeking support and guidance from the suspect, who allegedly touched him inappropriately. Franco Henao turned himself over to police detectives on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. He was processed and released.
