Two decades and several groundbreaking documentaries later, Compass charts the full saga of the child sexual abuse crisis in Australian churches that led to the Royal Commission announcement.

Along the way it revisits key people who have been part of the unfolding story and examines the dramatically shifting attitude in Australian public opinion from denial to recognition to acknowledgment.

The special airs at 8.30pm on ABC1.
