Gay marriage is bad, but drinking and driving is okay?

Salvatore Cordileone, who was named Archbishop of San Francisco's Archdiocese in late July, allegedly took one too many sips of the Blood of Christ before getting behind the wheel this weekend.
The newly minted leader was reportedly arrested for driving under the influence in San Diego at 12:26 a.m. Saturday, the San Diego Union-Tribune first reported.
Cordileone, who has been a bishop since 2002, is currently the bishop of the Oakland diocese, but is scheduled to take over in San Francisco in October. The move spurred controversy in the city because Cordileone helped create Prop. 8, the ballot initiative that banned same-sex marriage in California in 2008. At that time, Cordileone served as auxiliary bishop of San Diego, his hometown.
But over the weekend Cordileone was pulled over on College Avenue near Montezuma Road, which is near the San Diego State campus. Not a bad place to be on a Friday night -- if you are in college.
He was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge, and posted bail just in time for Sunday mass.
