Case against Former Priest Moved to Different Court

Blossburg, PA - A former Tioga County Priest charged with 32 crimes related to the sexual abuse of a child, had his case moved to the court of common pleas. 66 year old Thomas Shoback of Wilkes-Barre is charged with several crimes including deviate sexual intercourse. State police say the alleged crimes happened between 1991 and 1997 while Shoback was a priest at St. Mary's Parish in Blossburg. The victim is a former alter boy. He claims Shoback sexually abused him several times over that seven year period. The lower court determined Wednesday that there was enough evidence to move the case to county court.
