‘MONSTER’ CAGED: Michael Sabo (above) is sentenced to prison by Justice Vincent DelGiudice in Brooklyn Supreme Court yesterday.

A deviant dad could be caged for the rest of his life for preying on kids in his Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn.

Michael Sabo was smacked with a 20-years-to-life prison sentence yesterday after relatives of his two young victims trashed him as a "monster" who should never walk free again — and as District Attorney Charles Hynes continued taking heat for shielding the names of accused sexual attackers in religious Jewish communities.

"I feel like breaking your bones and I hope you rot in prison," one of Sabo's victims, now 16, wrote in a letter read aloud in court by his dad. "I want to kill you over and over again."

Sabo pleaded guilty this month to molesting a boy and a girl over several years, even as prosecutors said the girl's relatives were pressured in a synagogue by Sabo supporters who vowed to pack the courtroom if she dared to testify against him.

"Despite this shameful act, these children and their parents still had the courage to come to court," prosecutor Kevin O'Donnell said.

The family of another of Sabo's accusers didn't cooperate because of fear of reprisals from within the Orthodox community, prosecutors said.

Justice Vincent DelGiudice lamented the "lenient" sentence that came with the plea deal accepted by Sabo on the eve of trial — and took a veiled swipe at community members who choose to side with child molesters.

"There is a duty for all adults to protect our children and the only way they can be protected is if they cooperate with law enforcement and allow law enforcement to protect them," DelGiudice said.

Hynes has been criticized for not making public the names of accused molesters from Brooklyn's ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods. Critics have accused Hynes of kowtowing to that constituency, which has overwhelmingly supported him in past elections.

The veteran prosecutor contends he's trying to shield sex-abuse victims and their families from intimidation in the tight-knit communities.

In addition to the two kids whose families didn't cooperate, prosecutors said they had evidence that Sabo preyed on five other young victims.

DelGiudice said parents should take comfort in knowing that Sabo, 38 and a father of four, could be locked away for life.

"They should have peace in knowing this man will never be able to harm another child for as long as he lives," the judge said.

Relatives of the boy and girl whom he admitted molesting didn't hold back as they blasted Sabo, who kept his head down as he was repeatedly called a "monster."

"While pretending to be our family and pretending to be nice, he was sexually abusing my sister," said the older sister of his now-12-year-old female victim. "This is the true definition of a sociopath."

The boy's father choked up as he read aloud words from his son, who trashed Sabo as a "miserable, rotten piece of slime."

"Why? Why did you hurt these innocent children?" the father said. "What did they do to you?"
