An Associated Press report said that Rev. Lowe Dongor was accused of stealing $40 to $60 from St. Joseph Parish in Fitchburg on several occasions. Images of preteen girls were also reportedly found on his computer during service. Following Vatican officials’ “clarification” that child pornography possession is included in the grounds for removal from the priesthood, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Worcester has asked the pope to defrock Dongor. Dongor denied the allegations. He was suspended from the ministry and it is believed that he fled to the Philippines.
