	Church Driver Arrested for Sexually Abusing Young Girl By Gabriel Roxas WKYT December 12, 2011 http://www.wkyt.com/news/headlines/Church_driver_arrested_for_sexually_abusing_young_girl_135486898.html?ref=898 [with video] A man faces a sex charge involving a child, and police want to know if there could be more victims. Investigators say 62-year-old Charles Peyton has admitted to two cases, each more than a decade apart. He worked as a driver for a church in Berea transporting children. The church bus still sits parked next to Peyton's Richmond home, where the seriousness of the charges against him is beginning to sink in for his wife Billie. Asked if she knows her husband of 35 years better than anyone, "I thought I did. Yeah," Billie Peyton said. The suspect's wife says Charles told her about the incident the day it happened, but what he told her was much different from what police say he admitted to them. "He just told me he was talking to her about her grades," Billie Peyton said of her husband's explanation, "and she was saying she had bad grades, a "D" or something, and then he brushed over and tapped her on the leg and told her it would be alright." But the citation tells a much different story, one Billie Peyton says she hadn't heard until we read it to her. "Charles Peyton admitted to rubbing a 14-year-old female's inner thigh underneath her dress and in a circular motion using his hand while taking her home from church," the citation reads, "Peyton also stated he asked the juvenile if she wanted to be his secret girlfriend. Peyton stated this activity went on for a couple of minutes. In an interview with the victim, she stated she thought Peyton was going to rape her." "That's the first I heard of that," Billie Peyton said, "I didn't hear... That's the first I've heard of all that." But it's not the first time she's heard about other sexual indiscretions that police say her husband also admitted to them. Investigators say Peyton also confessed to having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl back in 1998. "Yeah, yeah, I knew about that," Billie Peyton said. Asked what went through her mind when her husband came to her and admitted having intercourse with a 14-year-old girl, "That he's just in his juice at the time I guess," Billie Peyton responded, "but I mean I was shocked and upset, but we got through it." Now these new allegations have left Billie Peyton unsure what to think. Does she feel betrayed? "Yes I do," she said, "'Cause if he didn't tell me the whole story and told me what he told me, then he made it into something else." Charles Peyton is charged with first degree sexual abuse. He declined our request for an interview. This investigation began when an adult relative of the victim called police.
