	Priest Arraigned on Child Molestation Charges KCRA December 5, 2011 http://www.kcra.com/news/29910918/detail.html [with video] SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Father Ureil Ojeda was arraigned on seven counts of child molestation in Sacramento Superior Court Friday afternoon. The 32-year-old Catholic priest did not enter a plea to charges of lewd and lascivious conduct with a person under 14. Sacramento police have confirmed the victim is a female who is now 16. A spokesman for the Sacramento Diocese says the alleged offenses occurred in private residents, not on church property in the summer of 2009. About 20 supporters of Father Ojeda prayed outside the courtroom on Friday and spoke in support of a man they consider a wonderful priest. They are parishioners from Holy Rosary Church in Woodland, where Ojeda served for two years beginning in 2007. Ojeda remains in jail on $5 million bail. He is scheduled to return to court Tuesday for a bail reduction hearing.
