Father Kevin Reynolds says authorities in RTE should face the consequences of broadcasting false accusations against him.
He was speaking for the first time on radio after his case against RTE was settled last week.
The broadcaster falsely said he raped a girl in Kenya and fathered her child.
The parish priest of Ahascragh in Co. Galway says he forgives those who defamed him and he is not personally calling for people to be sacked.
However he has told Shannonside Radio that people in authority in all State agencies need to be held accountable for decisions like this.
