	It’s Cronyism over Psychiatric Excellence for Bishop Robert Finn in the Choice of a Psychiatrist for the Evaluation of Shawn Ratigan. By Kristine Ward NSAC November 18, 2011 http://nationalsurvivoradvocatescoalition.wordpress.com/press-release/ We learned today in the Kansas City Star that the psychiatrist Bishop Finn sent former priest Shawn Ratigan to a psychiatrist with ties to Opus Bono Sacredotti, a group that supports accused priests financially, legally and emotionally. The psychiatrist advised Finn that Ratigan’s pornography problem is because of loneliness and depression. No Caesar’s wife approach here for Finn. He strides right into giving the Catholic Church another black eye in the sexual abuse scandal. These are duck and dodge tactics on Finn’s part and his actions speak much, much louder than his words. Finn, who yesterday got a sweetheart deal from Clay County prosecutor Dan White on non-reporting of Ratigan, has to resign in order for the problem of child pornography and a priest who is facing multiple indictments, local and federal, to be taken seriously. Finn should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for his admitted failure to report Ratigan. Bishops are not above the law. Children are at stake for heaven’s sake. Children were harmed in the time Finn waited with his knowledge of Ratigan and child pornography. How many more will be harmed as Finn and his brother bishops and now prosecutors take the soft ball approach to criminal activity? Is your child next?
