Chicago, IL -- Chicago's Catholic Diocese has reached a three-million-dollar settlement with another abuse victim of a former priest. But Barbara Blaine with Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests says the settlement will only go so far to help the boy's family recover. "Cardinal George and others in the Archdiocese who got information about McCormack and allowed him to continue in the ministry should be held accountable, and they shouldn't be permitted to remain in their position", said Blaine.

Blaine wants defrocked priest Daniel McCormack to be committed to a state facility for the rest of his life alleging he's a danger to society. McCormack has admitted to abusing at least five boys while at St. Agatha's Parish in 2007. Other alleged victims have since come forward.
