Still, if an investigation is to be effective and honest, it must be run by truly independent, secular authorities - not church authorities.We hope every single person who saw, suspected or suffered abuse at this abbey will step forward, get help, expose wrongdoing and start recovering. But we hope they first contact law enforcement officials, not Catholic ones.
