	SNAP to Begin Monthly Meetings for Victims of Abuse CantonRep October 20, 2011 http://www.cantonrep.com/newsnow/x1872800653/SNAP-to-begin-monthly-meetings-for-victims-of-abuse SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, will begin monthly confidential support meetings in the Youngstown-Boardman area. The first meeting will be Oct. 29. The program is designed for those who have been abused by priests, nuns, employees or volunteers in religious settings and institutions. “SNAP support meetings are in a safe environment where victims and family members can share their pain and know that they are not alone,” said Judy Jones, SNAP Midwest Associate Director. “It is a great way to foster the healing process.” Founded in 1988, SNAP is the world’s oldest and largest support group for clergy abuse victims. It has more than 10,000 members.
