	Former Minister Sought by Police Fayetteville Observer September 26, 2011 http://www.newsobserver.com/2011/09/25/1515990/former-minister-sought-by-police.html A retired minister living in Sanford is being sought by police in Georgia on charges that he molested a young girl for a decade. Clarence Caldwell Arquitt Jr., 86, is wanted on charges of child molestation, aggravated molestation and sodomy, according to police in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs. According to the Sandy Springs Police Department website, the victim - now in her 20s - reported the abuse in August, saying Arquitt repeatedly molested her from the time she was about 3 until she reached 11 years old. Investigators say they believe she was molested at Arquitt's home in Woodstock, Ga., in the early 1990s, and then at his home in Sandy Springs from 1996 until 1999. Police say that Arquitt is a retired preacher from multiple churches in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. He currently lives in Sanford. Arquitt was arrested on the charges in Lee County, but he is fighting extradition. He is free on $30,000 bail, according to police.
