VENICE, Calif. (KTLA) -- Authorities are searching for more possible victims after a youth pastor in Venice was arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl for more than a year.
Granada Hills resident, 28-year-old Demetrius Darnell Allen, is facing 10 counts of a lewd act upon a child and one count each of possession of child pornography and contacting minor for a sexual offense.
He's being held on $1 million bail after pleading not guilty in the case. He was arrested on August 3.
Authorities say the girl belonged to First Baptist Church in Venice, where Allen worked.
LAPD officials held a news conference Thursday morning, seeking any additional victims.
Police initially said that Allen worked with developmentally disabled children at the church, however, investigators later said that information was false.
