	Gaa Not Informed about Sex Abuse Claims against Priest The Journal August 6, 2011 http://www.thejournal.ie/gaa-not-informed-about-sex-abuse-claims-against-priest-195043-Aug2011/ THE GAA HAS said it was not informed about complaints of sexual abuse against one of the Cork county selectors. The Irish Examiner reports today that Fr Donncha Mac Carthaigh was a member of the team managements of Cork GAA minor (under 18) and under 16 teams in various years from 1979 to 1997. However the first of seven child sexual abuse complaints was filed against him in 1986. A spokesman for the board said that the GAA was not made aware of concerns about the priest during the period that he was on the board.
