Parishioner Who Gave Money to Priest Accused of Embezzlement Comes Forward By Frank Gerace WDEL August 5, 2011 http://www.wdel.com/story.php?id=36644 A parishioner who gave $200 to a priest charged with stealing hundreds of thousands says he did so because he was trying to help. Auto repair shop owner Ed Osborne tells WDEL News he also helped Father Michael Angeloni in other ways, including fixing his car for free. Angeloni's accused of stealing $305,000 dollars from another parishioner, an elderly woman who attends Wilmington's Church of the Holy Child. The woman's bank, Wilmington Trust, alerted police about suspicious activity on her account. Osborne says he's coming forward because he feels it's his civic duty. |
