ATLANTA - Members of Bishop Eddie Long's church spoke out on the new developments concerning a fifth accuser.

As hundreds of people drove off the New Birth campus, many did not want to talk about Bishop Eddie Long and the fifth accuser in the sexual misconduct case. But those who did talk say they support their pastor.

"That doesn't matter to me. I know who he is and it's just talk. He's a good spiritual dad. So that's all I can say," said one supporter.

One woman said "Bishop Long is a man of god. People are trying to tear him down in all kinds of ways. I don't believe the first one and I don't believe him now."

When asked if she heard about the fifth accuser, the woman replied, "Yes. I think that's just a scam to bring him down. He's bringing the word out so strong right now. They just trying to bring him down."

Church members say Long was not at Wednesday night's service, saying he's resting.

At least one person spoke out against the FOX 5 report on the fifth accuser, saying she was not happy with it.

"Because my family has been going here for years, we know Bishop Long personally. We've been here at the church and I feel like this – anytime you have four boys that know each other, sounds to me like a plot. The story you all are talking about, you all talked about that last September. I looked it up," said a woman.

Many church members say they are praying for Bishop Eddie Long. In checking Long's Twitter account, his last tweet was dated July 20, saying "You can never sleep with a broken heart because god always loves you and so do I."
