	Florida Priest Spent over $1 Million on Personal Items, Bishop Reports Catholic Culture July 18, 2011 http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=11048 A Florida bishop has announced that a popular priest removed from parish duties last year spent "at least $1 million in unsupported or questionable expenses." An independent auditor found that Father Stan Strycharz spent $665,000 in parish funds on personal credit card expenses, paid $217,000 to the family of his business manager, and paid $150,000 to his brother's firm, for which there is "no good account," Bishop Frank Dewane of Venice said in a letter to parishioners.
