	Cloyne Abuse Report: Cork Parishioners Hear Letter of Apology The Post July 17, 2011 http://www.thepost.ie/breakingnews/ireland/ojkfmhauidsn/ Parishioners in Co Cork are hearing a letter of apology being read in Mass this morning from the Archbishop Dermot Clifford. The letter comes following last week's revelations in the Cloyne report that the former Bishop John Magee failed to report numerous allegations of clerical abuse in the diocese. In the letter, Archbishop Clifford apologises to abuse victims and says action needs to be taken to ensure the protection of children in the diocese, including the vetting of priests.
