	Ahascragh Priest Alleges Libel over Sex Abuse Claims Galway News July 6, 2011 http://www.galwaynews.ie/20338-ahascragh-priest-alleges-libel-over-sex-abuse-claims The acting parish priest of Ahascragh is to apply to the High Court for an order over claims in an RTÉ programme about the alleged abuse of children in Africa. Fr. Kevin Reynolds claims he was libelled in the 'Primetime' programme, which claimed he had raped an underage girl in Africa and fathered a child. Fr. Reynolds is a member of the Mill Hill Missionaries and acting parish priest of Ahascragh. He has stepped down from his ministry in Ahascragh as a result of what he claims are 'false accusations'. The programme claimed that Fr. Reynolds raped a girl who was a maid in a house which he visited while he was in Kenya. It was also claimed that he fathered a child, who is now 29 years old.
