Peter and Paul Priest Due in Court Monday By Sananda Sahoo Boonville Daily News June 23, 2011 http://www.boonvilledailynews.com/news/x848908944/Former-Ss-Peter-and-Paul-priest-due-in-court-Monday A hearing on a Boonville priest arrested on suspicion of child sexual abuse is scheduled for Monday, June 27 in the Cooper County Circuit Court. The hearing has been postponed several times over the past year. Cooper County Prosecutor Doug Abele said in April after the last hearing date was rescheduled that the sides continue to collect depositions from witnesses across the country, and Howard’s defense attorney requested the continuance for discovery purposes. Howard, who worked at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, faces charges on suspicion of three counts of forcible sodomy, three counts of attempted forcible sodomy and two counts of kidnapping. The crimes took place in the mid-1980s. Howard is held on $1.5 million bond.
