	Catholic Priest Pleads Guilty to Sex Counts; Charges Involved 16 Boys and a Girl Winnipeg Free Press June 8, 2011 http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/arts-and-life/life/faith/123487024.html An 88-year-old Catholic priest and former teacher has pleaded guilty in a Windsor, Ont., court to sex charges involving 17 children. William Hodgson Marshall — nicknamed "Happy Hands Marshall" by some students —pleaded guilty to indecent assault on 16 boys and one girl. The abuse occurred between 1952 and 1986 while Marshall taught at schools in Toronto, Sudbury, Ont., and Windsor. Victim after victim took the witness stand and told how Marshall stole their innocence. Most of the abuse consisted of fondling. Sudbury victim Randall Gasparini says he's glad the case is coming to an end before Marshall — who is suffering from skin cancer — dies. Marshall, who is living in a retirement home in Toronto, was ordained in 1951 and retired from public ministry in 1996.
