	Texas Man Arrested on Rape Charges WCHS May 20, 2011 http://www.58wchs.com/includes/news_items/7/news_items_more.php?id=5421§ion_id=7 Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a Texas man after he allegedly raped a woman he picked up in a Charleston bar. Police say Matthew D. Jarrell, 41, of Terrell, Texas, offered a 36-year-old woman a ride home early Thursday morning, but instead drove her to a remote area in Sissonville where he forced himself on her, police said. The victim was able to escape after Jarrell's truck got stuck in the mud, according to police. Jarrell told police he was a pastor at a Texas church. Sheriff's deputies say additional sexual-related charges are pending against Jarrell in San Antonio, Texas. Family members told police Jarrell was supposed to be in Pennsylvania. He is currently being held at the South Central Regional Jail.
