	Maryland Pastor Taken into Jail for Sexual Abusing Minor By Bridgette P. LaVictoire Lez Get Real March 11, 2011 http://lezgetreal.com/2011/03/maryland-pastor-taken-into-jail-for-sexual-abusing-minor/ Fruitland, Maryland Pastor Tonto Sylvester Corbin of the Jesus Saves House of Prayer and Refuge was taken into custody after a fifteen year old girl stated to police that he had engaged in sexual acts with her on two occasions last year. Corbin has been charged with sex abuse of a minor, sex offense and assault, according to the news reports. She accused Corbin of having sex with her inside his home and inside the church that they attended. Corbin is being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center. Prosecutors have requested that bond be withheld or a high bond be imposed. The first incident was said to have occurred on 1 September. According to the news report: The second incident is alleged to have occurred inside Jesus Saves House of Prayer and Refuge on Nov. 25. The small church is located inside the McIntire Building on East Main Street. White lettering painted on a glass window on the front of the building lists the name of the church and identifies Corbin as the pastor. According to police, the victim reported Corbin picked her up from her home to drive her to a fast-food establishment. They stopped at the church where they allegedly had sex inside a bathroom before Corbin drove her to the fast-food restaurant and later drove her to her home. No one else was inside the church at the time, according to police interviews with the victim. Corbin was convicted of second-degree rape in Somerset County in 2003, and he had a sexual relationship with a thirteen year old girl between 1990 and 1991. The victim in that case had a child, and the blood test that identified him as the father was used to charge him. Corbin was sentenced to ten years in prison for the rape charge, but most of that time was suspended. In 2005, he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Somerset County. He was sentenced to ten years in jail, but that was reduced to eight and he was released on probation in 2009. As part of his parole, he was prohibited from having contact with children under the age of 18, and prohibited from participating in groups and activities that involve minors.
