Church Denies Allegations in Former Scout’s Lawsuit By Danielle Ray Paducah Sun March 4, 2011 http://www.paducahsun.com/local-news/todays-news/438385-church-denies-allegations-in-former-scouts-lawsuit A local church and its governing body named as defendants in a lawsuit alleging sexual abuse by a former Boy Scout leader have denied all wrongdoing. Richard Walter, of Boehl, Stopher & Graves law firm in Paducah, filed a response on behalf of Grace Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky on Feb. 18. The response denies all allegations and lists 16 defenses, including the statute of limitations. The response calls for the original complaint to be dismissed and for the church’s and diocese’s court expenses to be reimbursed, along with any other relief to which they may be entitled.
