An FBI official in Atlanta says that a retired minister from Smyrna has been arrested on child porn charges.
Stephen Emmett of the FBI says Albert Turnell, 71, was arrested with the assistance of the Smyrna Police Department at his Smyrna home without incident Thursday morning.
Turnell -- a former minister at First United Methodist Church of Smyrna -- faces charges of possession and distribution of child pornography.
He is expected to make a court appearance later Thursday.
