Priest Has Sentencing Date Set

The Rev. Felix Owino will appear in court on Friday.

WEIRTON -- A priest accused of sexual assault has a sentencing hearing set for Friday.

The Rev. Felix Owino will appear in court to be sentenced on February 18.

According to the Survivor’s Network of those Abused by Priests, or SNAP, Owino entered a guilty plea to the aggravated sexual battery of an 11-year-old girl in a Fairfax, Va., Circuit Court in September.

SNAP is urging the judge to give Ownio the longest sentence possible.
