	Lawsuit Alleges Sex Abuse by Scout Leader By Danielle Ray Paducah Sun February 4, 2011 http://www.paducahsun.com/local-news/todays-news/436991-lawsuit-alleges-sex-abuse-by-scout-leader A local Boy Scout troop, its church sponsor, and regional and national Boy Scout agencies are alleged in a civil lawsuit to be responsible for failing to prevent sexual abuse of a local Boy Scout by his Scoutmaster in the mid-1970s. A Louisville law firm filed the lawsuit for a McCracken County resident against Shawnee Trails Council Inc. of Owensboro, Boy Scouts of America, Grace Episcopal Church of Paducah and the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky, headquartered in Louisville. Grace Episcopal Church was the chartering organization for Troop 1, according to court files. The Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky is the church’s governing body.
