Father Thomas Euteneuer confessed to the fact that he committed a sexual indiscretion with a woman under his spiritual care during an exorcism. Father Eutreneuer has been the focus of intense speculation since his departure from Human Life International back in August of last year. He had been silent about it until now, but a medical emergency happened involving a woman at HLI’s Virginia headquarters, and the speculation reached a fevered pitch. According to paramedics, the woman was undergoing a seizure, but witnesses said that the woman, who had a history with Euteneuer, was suffering from demonic possession. On 1 February, the priest who had been called a ‘rock star’ of the anti-women’s rights movement broke his silence and admitted on the website LifeSiteNews “The circumstances that led to my departure from HLI were related texclusively to my own decisions and conduct within the ministry of exorcism that I carried out independently from my responsibilities at HLI.” He also admitted that “one particularly complex situation clouded my judgment and led me to imprudent decisions with harmful consequences, the worst of which was violating the boundaries of chastity with an adult female who was under my spiritual care.” He then took responsibility for his “weakness and sinful conduct.”
