According to a report from The Courier Journal Gary and Margie Weiter were told on Friday they can no longer help run the bingo night at St. Therese Church. The couple says its retaliation after they filed a wrongful termination suit the day before. They claim she was fired in 2010 because she raised concerns about a pastor being around children despite accusations of sexual abuse in the past. That pastor was removed from his post last year when the archdiocese decided the sexual abuse accusations were valid.
