Father Alexander Bede Walsh of Abbots Bromley faces 19 counts of sexual offences against four boys. It includes two counts of serious sexual offences that are said to have happened in the 1980s and 1990s. At the time of the alleged offences the four boys were aged between eight and 16. The 57 year-old stood to confirm his name and address in court on Monday. Father Walsh has been released on bail and will appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on January 31.
