	Toledo Diocese Announces Citywide Reorganization of Parishes WTOL January 24, 2011 http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=13896032 The Catholic Diocese of Toledo announced a parish reorganization on Monday that affects 13 parishes in 2011 and more in the coming years. The parish reorganization for 2011 will begin on July 1. An additional 20 parishes will potentially be affected with reorganization in 2012 and 2013. Most changes involve assigning a priest to more than one parish. Assignments of parish managers and pastoral leaders are also included in the new plan. Jason Shanks, leader of the Evangelization and Parish Life Secretariat and director of the Office of Pastoral Planning, said the following aspects were considered in the 3-year reorganization plan: * Fewer ordained priests * Parish financial viability * Mass attendance * Population trends * Location * Facility size * Cultural diversity * How a parish could remain intact and stable.
